Misa Tension Leveling is the preferred leveling process for today’s quality and speed focused manufacturing. Uniform elongation of all portions of a strip of aluminum or steel achieves panel flatness by producing a uniform plastic deformation of usually less than 0.5 percent. Tension leveled coils have guaranteed flatness to meet manufacturer’s quality specifications, while adding very little to material costs. MISA’s tension leveling capabilities include carbon, stainless, aluminum, titanium, brass and copper in widths up to 72 inches in gauges from .009 to .125.
